31st January:
North Uist: A Jack Snipe was in Carinish.
South Uist: 2 Little Egrets were at the north end of Loch Bee and 2 Fieldfares were also in the area.
Barra: The juvenile Kumlien's Gull was at Craigston.
30th January:
Lewis: The drake Ring-necked Duck is still at Loch Tiumpan this morning.
South Uist: 2 Little Egrets were at the north end of Loch Bee this morning.
Barra: The juvenile Kumlien's Gull was at Allasdale and a Green-winged Teal was at Ardmhor.
29th January:
Lewis: The Ring-necked Duck was on Loch Tiumpan.
North Uist: The Snow Goose was seen at Sollas this afternoon.
Benbecula: The Ring-necked Duck was on Coot Loch. 2 juvenile Iceland Gulls flew south past Stinky Bay.
South Uist: The female Lesser Scaup was seen on Loch an Daill, Ardmore. A juvenile Glaucous Gull was at West Gerinish. A Black-tailed Godwit was at Ardivachar.
28th January:
Lewis: The drake Ring-necked Duck was at Loch Tiumpan.
Harris: An adult Glaucous Gull was at Bunovenaeder this morning.
Barra: The juvenile Kumlien's Gull was ar Allasdale and the adult Glaucous Gull was at Scurrival.
27th January:
Lewis: A drake Ring-necked Duck was at Loch Tiumpan.
Benbecula: A drake Ring-necked Duck and Pintail were on Coot Loch. An immature Glaucous Gull was coasting along the cuaseway between Grimsay and Gramsdale this afternoon.
South Uist: 3 Little Egrets (including the colour-ringed individual) were in the creek at Clachan, north Loch Bee.
Barra: The Surf Scoter was off Allasdale.
Marine Sightings: 20 Common Dolphins headed south past Tiumpan Head this morning.

26th January:
Lewis: An adult and 2 juvenile Iceland Guls were in Stornoway harbour today.
25th January:
Benbecula: The Glossy Ibis was seen from the Aird road, south of Balivanich this morning. 44 Snow Buntings were at the north end of Culla Bay.
Barra: The juvenile Kumlien's Gull was at Allasdale. 2 Glaucous Gulls (a 2nd winter and adult) were at Traigh Mhor.
24th Janaury:
Benbecula: The Glossy Ibis was at Loch na Meallaird.
South Uist: The female Lesser Scaup was seen on Loch an Daill, Ardmore. 40 Black-tailed Godwits and a female Pintail were in the south-west corner of Loch Bee. A Little Egret was seen near Hebridean Jewellery and another on the west side of Loch Grogarry.
Barra: 2 Glaucous Gulls (an adult and a juvenile) were at Traigh Mhor. The Surf Scoter and Kumlien's Gull were at Allasdale. The Goosander was seen at Loch Orb.
23rd January:
Lewis: A 1st winter Ring-billed Gull was seen at Loch Stiapabhat today.
South Uist: A Little Egret was near Hebridean Jewellery this morning.
Barra: A juvenile Glaucous Gull was at Traigh Mhor
22nd January:
Lewis: The 1st winter drake Lesser Scaup is still at Loch Stiapabhat. A juvenile Iceland Gull was in Stornoway harbour. An Iceland Gull was at Tiumpan Head early afternoon.
South Uist: The female Lesser Scaup was seen on Loch an Daill, Ardmore.
Barra: The Surf Scoter is still off Allasdale. 2 Green-winged Teal were at Ardmhor. The juvenile Kumlien's Gull was around Craigston. A Siberian Chiffchaff, a Chiffchaff and Fieldfare were in Castlebay. An adult Glaucous Gull was at Scurrival. Greenland White-fronted Geese included 17 at Cleat, 3 at Bruernish and 1 at Eoilgarry.

21st January:
Lewis: An adult Glaucous Gull was at Garry beach, North Tolsta. A juvenile Iceland Gull was at Loch Branahuie late morning.
North Uist: A Little Egret was off the east side of Baleshare.
Benbecula: The Glossy Ibis was at Loch na Meallaird, just south of Balivanich.
South Uist: The female Lesser Scaup was seen on Loch an Daill, Ardmore. A Little Egret was at West Loch Ollay and 2 were at the north end of Loch Bee (Ardkenneth and Clachan).
Barra: The juvenile Kumlien's Gull was at Borve.
Marine Sightings: 2 Risso's Dolphins were seen of Tiumpan Head this morning.

20th January:
North Uist: A Cackling Goose was at Malaclate. The Snow Goose was at Sollas along with a Pink-footed Goose; and 2 Snow Buntings were at Grenitote. A Cackling Goose was to the south of Loch Scarie, Balranald. A drake Green-winged Teal was on Loch na Faoileige, Carnach.
South Uist: 2 Little Egrets were at the north end of Loch Bee this morning
Barra: A drake Goosander was seen on the sea at Brevig. An adult Glaucous Gull was at Scurrival. The 1st w drake Surf Scoter was off Alasdale. 19 Snow Buntings were at Eoligarry.

19th January:
Benbecula: The Glossy Ibis is still by Uist Hadrware, Balivanich. 14 Snow Buntings were in Culla Bay. 2 drake Pintails were on Coot LOch.
South Uist: The female Lesser Scaup was seen on Loch an Daill, Ardmore. A Little Egret was near Hebridean Jewellery.
18th January:
Barra: The Surf Scoter was off Allasdale and a juvenile Iceland Gull was at Borve.
17th January:
Lewis: A juvenile Iceland Gull was in Stornoway harbour this morning.
North Uist: 2 (pair) of Cackling Geese were by Loch Scarie, Balranald. The drake Green-winged Teal and 11 Pintails were at Loch nam Feithean and Ca. 50 Snow Buntings were on the coast at Balranald.
South Uist: The colour-ringed Little Egret was at the north end of Loch Bee this afternoon. The female Lesser Scaup was seen on Loch an Daill, Ardmore.
Barra: The Surf Scoter was off Allasdale.
16th January:
Lewis: The drake Lesser Scaup is still on Loch Stiapabhat. A juvenile Iceland Gull was in Stornoway harbour.
Benbecula: The Glossy Ibis was behind Uist Hardware, Balivanich this afternoon. The drake Pintail was on Coot Loch.
South Uist: The female Lesser Scaup was seen on Loch an Daill, Ardmore again today; a Little Egret was also there this morning. 2 Bramblings were in Carnan.
Barra: The Surf Scoter was off Allasdale and an Iceland Gull was on Vatersay.
Insects: A freshly deceased Winter Moth was found in South Glendale yesterday.

15th January:
Lewis: The drake Lesser Scaup is still on Loch Stiapabhat.
South Uist: The female Lesser Scaup was seen on Loch an Daill, Ardmore for the first time in over two weeks. A Little Egret was at the north end of Loch Bee.
14th January:
Lewis: A Chiffchaff was at Loch Tiumpan.
Benbecula: A drake Pintail was on Coot Loch.
Barra: The Surf Scoter was off Allasdale. 103 Brent Geese were at Traigh Mhor.
13th January:
North Uist: A juvenile Glaucous Gull was on Baleshare today.

Lewis: 3 Iceland Gulls were around Stornoway harbour. An immature Glaucous Gull was at Gress.
11th January:
Benbecula: A Glossy Ibis was on the southern edge of Balivanich today, on the opposite side of the road to Uist Hardware. A juvenile Glaucous Gull was on the shore at Liniclate.
South Uist: A Little Egret was at the north end of Loch Bee today.
Barra: The Surf Scoter was off Allasdale and a Siberian Chiffchaff was in Castlebay.
10th January:
Benbecula: A Glossy Ibis was around Uist Hardware on the edge of Balivanich today. The Welsh Little Egret was at Coot Loch along with a drake Pintail.
South Uist: A Little Egret was at Clachan, north Loch Bee this afternoon.

9th January:
Lewis: A juvenile Iceland Gull was on the north side of the Braigh this afternoon.
North Uist: A 2nd winter Kumlien's Gull, juvenile Iceland Gull and juvenile Glaucous Gull were at Rubh' Arnal today.
Barra: A juvenile Glaucous Gull was at Traigh Eais and an adult at Tangasdale. The Surf Scoter was still off Allasdale.

Lewis: An adult Iceland Gull was in Stornoway harbour.
South Uist: 2 Little Egrets (including the colour-ringed individual) were at the north end of Loch Bee today.
Barra: A juvenile Glaucous Gull was at Traigh Eais and the Surf Scoter was off Allasdale.
7th January:
North Uist: 3 Glaucous Gulls (an adult and 2 juveniles) were on Baleshare this afternoon. A Green-winged Teal was seen at Loch Grogarry, Balranald today.
Barra: The Glossy Ibis is still at Bruernish.

Barra: The Glossy Ibis is still at Bruernish.
5th January:
North Uist: 3 Cackling Geese were at Balranald (a pair by Loch Scarie and a single by Loch Grogarry). A drake Green-winged Teal and 2 Pintail were on Loch nam Feithean and Ca. 20 Snow Buntings were amongst a large flock of Twite on Balranald machair. The Snow Goose was at Grenitote.
South Uist: A Little Egret was in the channel at Clachan at the north end of Loch Bee this morning.

4th January:
South Uist: A juvenile Glaucous Gull flew south at Ardvule this morning.
Barra: The Glossy Ibis is still at Bruernish. A juvenile Glaucous Gull flew south at Cleat.
3rd January:
Lewis: A juvenile Iceland Gull was on the loch by Stornoway landfill this morning.
North Uist: A Cackling Goose was at Balranald. A 2nd winter Iceland Gull was at Rubh' Arnal along with 103 Brent Geese and a Snow Bunting was nearby at Kyles Paible. A Fieldfare was at Knockintorran.
South Uist: A juvenile Glaucous Gull was on the beach at Howmore before flying south. A Snow Bunting was seen at Ardvule.
Barra: The Glossy Ibis is still at Bruernish. A Siberian Chiffchaff was in Northbay.

Lewis: The juvenile Iceland Gull is still in Stornoway harbour.
Benbecula: A drake Pintail was on Coot Loch and another was on nearby Loch Fada.
1st January:
Lewis: The drake Lesser Scaup is still at Loch Stiapabhat.
Benbecula: 2 drake Pintails were on Coot Loch and 10 Gannets were feeding off Balivanich.
South Uist: 2 Black-tailed Godwits were at Ardivachar.
Barra: The Glossy Ibis is still at Bruernish. The Surf Scoter is still off Allasdale. 2 Green-winged Teal were at Ardmhor and a Siberian Chiffchaff is in Casltebay.
